What is a Dermatologist?
Dermatologists are specialist medical practitioners who deal with the diagnosis and management of skin diseases and skin cancers.
A dermatologist has a medical degree and 4 years of specialty training with the Australasian College of Dermatology. www.dermcoll.edu.au
Our independent doctors at the Ballarat Skin Cancer Centre are specialist Dermatologists, however they only deal in the detection and management of skin cancers. They do not see patients for any general dermatology.
