Using Private Health Insurance

Ballarat Surgicentre has contracts with most Private health funds. Patients with private hospital health cover from these funds will generally be covered for excision of skin cancers and some benign skin lesions by their respective fund.

Every Health Fund is different and it will depend on the type of policy that an individual patient holds with their fund. Patients with private health insurance may be fully covered or have an out of pocket expense payment, depending on their fund and level of cover. Some policies may have an “excess” payment at the time of admission.

Our staff will assist and work out the cost of all Patient fees and out of pocket expenses before surgery.

Please feel free to contact the team on (03) 5303 0188 to enquire about whether the Ballarat Surgicentre has a contract with the Patient’s chosen Health Fund.
